1-day Rwanda gorilla trekking
Explore Tours
A 1-day Rwanda gorilla trekking journey starts early in the morning with a transfer from Kigali to Volcanoes National Park, a scenic 2.5-hour drive through Rwanda’s stunning landscapes. Upon arrival at the park headquarters, you’ll be briefed by experienced guides on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking.
Once the briefing is complete, you will set off on a guided trek through the dense forests of the Virunga Mountains. The trek can vary in length, depending on the location of the gorilla family you’re assigned to track. The hike can range from 1 to 4 hours, but the reward is well worth the effort.
When you finally meet the gorillas, you’ll have an hour to observe them as they go about their daily activities—feeding, playing, and bonding with each other. This intimate experience offers incredible photo opportunities and a chance to connect with these magnificent creatures in their wild environment.
